Everything above stays on this device. MAAR QR has no server, no analytics and no cookies — your content is drawn straight into the canvas in your browser and discarded when you close the tab, unless you choose to save it to local history.
Preview
Scan a code with your camera.
Point your camera at a QR code to decode it instantly. The video feed never leaves your device.
Point, hold, done
Grant camera access, hold a QR code steady in the frame, and MAAR QR will decode it the moment it's recognized — no upload, no server round trip.
Your recent codes.
Saved only in this browser's storage — never uploaded, never synced.
Common questions.
Is MAAR QR really free, with no limits?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no paywall and no cap on how many QR codes you can generate. Everything runs locally in your browser, so there's no server cost that would require charging you.
Does MAAR QR store or upload what I type?
No. Every QR code is drawn directly onto a canvas in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Nothing you enter — links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details — is ever sent to a server.
What types of QR codes can I create?
Links, plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, phone numbers, email, SMS, WhatsApp messages, contact cards (vCard), locations, calendar events and crypto payment addresses.
Can I add my own logo or colors to a QR code?
Yes. You can set custom foreground colors or gradients, choose square, rounded or dot module shapes, adjust error correction, and place a centered logo without hurting scannability.
What formats can I download my QR code in?
PNG, SVG and PDF, plus a one-click copy-to-clipboard option, so you can drop it straight into print materials or digital designs.
